Huntington's Hope Scholarship Fund
Download our scholarship application (best opened with Acrobat Reader). Our scholarship dollars are not available to support graduate degrees.
Because Huntington’s disease is hereditary, many families exhaust their financial resources over multiple generations, before their children are able to pursue post-secondary educations. Huntington’s Hope raises money to help these children come one step closer to achieving their educational dreams.
When $25,000 in donations has been reached, the first scholarship will be disbursed. There will be four Huntington’s Hope scholarships available, each for $1,000 renewable for up to four years, provided the applicant meets established criteria. Recipients will be selected based on eligibility, completed application and a personal interview. Residents of Minnesota will receive first priority, followed by residents of the Upper Midwest (Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota) and then the rest of the United States. When our scholarship endowment reaches $500,000, we will allow applicants from other countries.
Huntington’s Hope scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are:
- Planning to enroll for a minimum of half time undergraduate study in an accredited two or four-year post-secondary educational program, and the child of a parent currently living with Huntington’s disease or a parent who died within the past five years.
