Living with Huntington's disease is a family affair. We all experience it in different ways, but the Good Samaritan Society - Specialty Care Community (SCC) is focused on making life better for everyone living with HD, people like Cindy Robertson and her family. When she joined SCC three years ago, she struggled with the decision to leave her adoptive mother, Mary Jo. But these days, when asked about the best part of living at SCC, Cindy says, "I know that I have a lot of people here who love and care about me."
Cindy and Mary Jo were recently reunited at the National Huntington's Convention. After three wonderful days together at their getaway at the Sheraton Hotel, Mary Jo had to fly back to Atlanta, but we couldn't have been happier to welcome Cindy back to all of us who care about her here at SCC.
